I would further state that in the next year the 10-15% of professionals that produce returns higher than the marker average would be a different group of individuals.

From what I gathered, investing in the stock market is a losers game if you play the game of selling and buying based on what's currently happening. The cost of trading, taxes, and the risk of selecting a wrong stock will all eat away the average traders gains on the long run.
